Matthew's Foods: Our "Safes" and "Triggers"

FPIES families refer to "safes", meaning foods their children can eat without causing any digestive upset/symptoms or a chronic or acute reaction. Food that cause a reaction are commonly called "triggers".

  • Dempsters Whole Wheat bread (whole grain whole wheat flour including the germ, water, glucose-fructose/sugar, yeast*, vegetable oil (canola or soybean), wheat gluten, salt, vinegar, vegetable monoglycerides, calcium propionate, acetylated tartaric acid esters of mono and diglycerides, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate, sorbic acid, soybean lecithin) 
  • calcium chloride (trialed in canned tomatoes and PC Organics Mozzarella cheese)
